Titanium Alloy Grade 2 is 100% pure titanium. It has excellent corrosion resistance and strength similar to austenitic stainless steels despite its low density. It is readily formable and has strong weldability. It is the most widely used titanium grade.

The properties of titanium

High Strength, Low Density

Pure titanium is distinguished by its unique strength, which can exceed 590 MPa tensile strength. This strength increases significantly in alloy shape, reaching 1250 MPa.


Its fatigue strength is about half that of its tensile strength and does not deteriorate when subjected to welding or immersed in seawater. Titanium grade 2 Sheets and plates are ideal for applications that need a unique blend of strength and material lightness.

Its refractory metal properties distinguish titanium. Its melting point exceeds 1650°C, which is considerably greater than that of aluminium and steel. Meanwhile, the thermal expansion coefficient is 8.6 m/ (mK), which is less than that of steel and copper.

Applications of Titanium

Aerospace Industry

Titanium grade 2 Sheets and plates are used to produce aircraft parts (airframe and fastening components, hydraulic system components, and landing gear due to their temperature and corrosion resistance.
